About Our Chapter
Our SWENext IC Beirut chapter is part of this global network, and we are the first in the Middle East. Our role is especially important in this context as stereotypes surrounding women in engineering are still ingrained in our society. We are a group of girls between the ages of 15 and 18, who aim to introduce students to engineering in creative, hands-on ways and show that design, innovation, and problem-solving are for everyone. Through workshops, speaker events, and collaborative projects, we discover how engineering connects to everyday life and future careers.
